Pastor
Rev. Elizabeth Hurd
Rev. Elizabeth Hurd is excited to be serving the people and community of West Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. She has a passion for sharing the love of Christ with the world and building invitational, grace-filled, and loving relationships with all who seek community in God's kingdom. She is also passionate about ministry with youth and young people. She deans Middle School Camp at Lake Louise and serves as the chair for the Michigan Conference Board of Young People's Ministry.
Rev. Elizabeth received her BA in Secondary Education from Saginaw Valley State University in 2015. She received her Master of Divinity from the Boston University School of Theology in 2019.
In her free time, Rev. Elizabeth enjoys watching and performing improv comedy, hiking and walking with her dog, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.

Jo Anna Risk
Jo Anna has been a part of West Bloomfield United Methodist Church for 31 years, since her youngest son was confirmed here. She's an RN by profession, and when she retired from her last position at Wayne State. University, she started volunteering as a clinic nurse with the NOAH Project in Detroit, a ministry that is near and dear to her heart.
She is blessed to be the secretary here, and is thankful for all those in this church family who trained, guided, and helped her become the incredible secretary she is today!

Music Director
Cheri Whalen
Cheri Whalen is a gifted musician, proficient on a number of instruments, including piano, harp, violin, and organ. She plays a variety of musical styles and enjoys being able to use her gifts to serve Christ.
Custodian
David Carlson
David Carlson is a long-time member of West Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and a long-time custodian for the church as well. He is a big fan of Detroit Sports and of the University of Michigan.
